The services of the Ombuds are independent of the University administration and confidential to the extent permitted by law. You should not consider anything that you say to the Ombuds as notice to the University or expect the Ombuds to take part in any formal processes, grievances, or hearings.

Respect@UVA

In addition to speaking up when there are concerns about discrimination, harassment, and retaliation, the University encourages all employees to speak up if they feel that they are being treated disrespectfully. For conduct that does not implicate the PADH or PAR policies, but could be considered disrespectful or bullying, you may submit a formal complaint through the Respect@UVA complaint system.
